What type of information we have
We collect your name and email address when entered into our contact form in order for us to establish a means of responding to your enquiry. This also includes any other information provided by you when completing our form or sending us an email, and could also extend to contact telephone numbers and your address, should this be provided.
How we get the information and why we do we have it
The information that we collect reaches us via the completion of our contact form, delivered to our email address, stored via a web server.
Information is collected in order to make arrangements for entering into a contract with you (the contract being the provision of works and/or services, provided to you under the trading name DPP Smart Homes and Electrical or DPP Illuminate Solutions Ltd).
What we do with the information
When your information is received, we use this to respond to your enquiry and to enable us to attempt to enter into a contract with you. Your information will also be used on our quotes and invoices to enable fulfilment of the contract between you and us.
We do not sell your information to third parties, and aim to keep your information secure when in our possession.
We do not share your information with any other third parties, unless you have given your explicit consent to do so.
How we store your information
Your information is stored in a secure web portal (operated by Microsoft Outlook) and can only be accessed by employees of DPP Illuminate Solutions Ltd. We also use an application (Xero) to create quotes and invoices. We keep your information for six months, if your details were provided for enquiry purposes. However, if there is a contract for works/service between us, your details (within quotes and invoices) will be held for 12 years in line with Accounting Standards Best Practice.
Your data protection rights
You have the right to request that we cease to process your information (if our contract is completed and there is no lawful basis for us to hold the information).
You also have the right to have access to the personal information that we process about you.

How to complain
You have the right to complain about our use of your data should you feel that we are not acting within Data Protection legislation, by making a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
